Other sides (of the doors) is a tribute to the californian band whose leader was Jim Morrison.
This project was born in Turin at the end of 2012 when Fabrizio (former keyboard of another tribute band of the doors, duration 8-year) met Fabio Cubisino singer, who is very passionate about the original band, has a deep and biting voice.
Fabrizio Roperti wanted to continue to get this lysergic, psichedelic, mysterious and dark music out, so he contacted once more the young but talented drummer, Mauro Ambrassa, subsequently replaced by Davide Cirimele and Fabio got the guitarist Federico Vacca involved in the project. The sound gained weight and confidence pretty quickly and in february 2013 the band (4 elements without bass, as the original band) started to perform not only in Italy but also in some important venues outside of Italy. The band is very enthusiastic. The performances and that enthusiasm is pushing the band to always improve and better themselves, they put on a show that leaves room to improvise, to really create the “right” atmosphere that was such a big component in the original band shows. The band doesn’t leave details to chance, the sound, the background and the music are very accurate to the original songs, recorded and lives. The show goes for 3 hours and traces back the full but short career (with Jim Morrison) of the californian band through all of their major hits (from Light my fire” to “roadhouse blues”, “the end”, “love me two times”, “touch me” and “break on through” and again from “riders on the storm” and ” l.a. woman”)..but including also some songs for the loyal fans.

Other Sides (of the Doors) è un tributo alla band californiana capitanata da JimMorrison.
E’ un progetto nato alla fine del 2012 dall’incontro tra Fabrizio Roperti (tastierista proveniente da una precedente esperienza tributo ai doors durata 8 anni) e Fabio Cubisino, cantante appassionato del genere e dal timbro caldo e graffiante, conosciuto nel mondo dell’indie rock per essere stato membro dei margaret.
L’idea di continuare a proporre la musica lisergica,psichedelica,,spettrale,”fumosa” e cupa di Morrison & Soci ha spinto Fabrizio a richiamare con sé il giovane quanto talentuoso batterista Mauro Ambrassa (già membro della sua ex tribute), successivamente sostitutito da Davide Cirimele, e Fabio invece a coinvolgere il chitarrista Federico Vacca.
Il sound ha preso corpo e fiducia e già da febbraio 2013 il quartetto (in formazione originale senza bassista) ha cominciato a solcare palchi importanti in Italia e all’estero.
L’entusiasmo ha coinvolto tutta la band. Questo, unito all’ottimo riscontro ottenuto nelle prime esibizioni ha dato vita ad una serie di stimoli che i ragazzi tramutano in energia e voglia di migliorarsi e stupire, dando (lasciando) spazio alla teatralità ed all’improvvisazione creando l’atmosfera “giusta” per vivere una vera esibizione doorsiana.Il tutto senza venire meno all’accuratezza delle sonorità,della “scenografia 60’s” e degli arrangiamenti dei brani,fedeli alle più famose registrazioni studio e live dei Doors.
Il repertorio copre 3 ore di spettacolo e ripercorre la veloce ed intensa carriera (con Jim Morrison) del gruppo californiano proponendo tutte le maggiori hit (da “light my fire” a “roadhouse blues”,”the end”,”love me two times”,”touch me” e “break on through” passando per “riders on the storm”,”l.a. woman”) senza far mancare brani per gli ascoltatori più “esigenti”.
